The GUNTRY team is excited to announce a groundbreaking multi-million-dollar expansion. With an additional 22,000 square feet of space, GUNTRY is offering an array of new amenities and activities to cater to enthusiasts of all levels, as well as furthering its goals of providing a space focused on safety, education, and training.
PHASE 1
Debuting on May 1, 2024, Phase One introduces Stanley Combatives at GUNTRY, led by Brian Stanley, an esteemed instructor with extensive experience training law enforcement, military personnel, and government contractors in various martial arts disciplines.
Featuring an extensive lineup of offerings, Stanley Combatives at GUNTRY includes diverse disciplines such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Combatives, Fitness, Kickboxing, Group Fitness, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), MMA Conditioning, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Open Mat sessions, Women’s Self-Defense, Youth and Adult Boxing, Youth and Adult Muay Thai Kickboxing, Group Fitness, Active Recovery Yoga Flow, and Fitness Kickboxing. Private instruction with coaches and group classes, workshops, and events will also be available.
Slated to begin opening in the fall of 2024, perhaps the most eagerly anticipated addition is GUNTRY's new archery facility with archery ranges, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and many archery related activities. The main range boasts an indoor setup for paper target shooting, while the simulator range utilizes the giant video wall for a dynamic experience. These ranges will feature 3-D targets and unique shooting positions, ensuring a thrilling experience for archers of all levels.
To complement the expanded facilities, GUNTRY's fully stocked archery Pro Shop will offer a wide range of equipment from major manufacturers, including compound bows, crossbows, bow fishing equipment, tree stands, tree saddles, and clothing. Additionally, bow rentals and servicing will be available.
Plans for the area also include training classes, competitive leagues, and membership opportunities.
Says Archery Manager Gould Gibbons (aka “Gib”), “This new archery area will greatly complement the GUNTRY’s firearm facility. There’s currently a lot of interest in archery, but very few places to shoot. GUNTRY is offering a great opportunity for people to check it out or work on their current skills.” Excitingly, the expansion also introduces a cutting-edge golf simulator with additional sports experiences, including a shooting gallery, promising an immersive and diverse recreational experience for visitors. With our continued expansion and additional entertainment, our hope is that GUNTRY will be considered one of the best entertainment centers to visit in MD.
Targeted for late 2024, GUNTRY will introduce a law enforcement shooting range with fixed target positioning. By fixing the target position, GUNTRY will be able to introduce a variety of new classes, including vehicle takedowns, room clearing, home self-defense, and much more. The enhanced facility includes the addition of ten more 25-yard shooting lanes, providing ample space for visitors to refine their skills and continue to train in a safe and controlled environment.
